JESSICA L. RODIO, ESQ. is an associate with the firm licensed to practice in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Rodio served as mass tort judicial law clerk to the Honorable Nelson C. Johnson, J.S.C., assisting him with Multicounty Litigation and other civil matters in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Atlantic County, Law Division.
Professional Memberships & Honors
In May 2015, Ms. Rodio received her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School in Camden. Ms. Rodio also received the Dean’s Pro Bono Publico Award for Exceptional Service, which is awarded annually to students who have completed a minimum of 100 pro bono service hours during their time at the law school. Ms. Rodio was a leader of Rutgers Camden’s Mediation Project and its Alternative Spring Break Program: a trip organized for students to complete pro bono work in other locales during their spring break.
Ms. Rodio’s professional associations include: The Atlantic County Bar Association and Young Lawyers Division; Vincent S. Haneman American Inn of Court; New Jersey State Bar Association; Pennsylvania State Bar Association; and American Bar Association.
Background & Community Outreach
Ms. Rodio graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and minors in both English and Legal Studies.
After graduating from college in the spring of 2012, Ms. Rodio began law school that July at Rutgers Law on an academic merit scholarship. While in law school, Ms. Rodio was involved in various pro bono programs including The Voter’s Rights Project, Mediation Project, Alternative Spring Break, and Domestic Violence Project. Ms. Rodio was also a member of the Rutgers Journal of Law & Religion as a Nuremberg Project Staff Editor. At the closing of her time at Rutgers, Ms. Rodio participated in the Rutgers Camden Child and Family Advocacy Clinic, serving as a Law Guardian representing youth separated from their parents and also seeking financial support for disabilities.
In addition to her service throughout college and law school, Ms. Rodio remains involved in her community by serving as a committee member for the Alzheimer’s Association Run to Remember (Philadelphia Chapter).
Ms. Rodio was raised, and continues to reside, in Hammonton, New Jersey. When out of the office, Ms. Rodio can be found running, walking her beloved French Bulldog, or heckling Cowboys fans while manning the grill at an Eagles tailgate. As a long distance runner working towards running a half-marathon in all fifty states, Ms. Rodio makes perseverance and determination goals in both her professional and personal life.
